Congratulations to the Lady Hornets Softball team on becoming Area Champions for the third year in a row! Raegan Brooks led the charge on the mound, throwing a complete game for the third time this season against Elmore County. Shelby Craft was the leading hitter in the championship game with three hits and three RBIs. It was a total team effort to fight back after losing game one and Coach Langley is very proud of every girl on this team! The softball team is set to start regionals on Wednesday, May 13. (Info on game time to come) Congratulations to these outstanding athletes!
Important Tryout Information: Boys Basketball Workouts will be held immediately after school starting at 3:10 p.m. today (05/05) and Thursday, May 7. Participants must have an updated physical. Please see Coach Bridges or Coach Thomas for more information.
Important Tryout Information: Volleyball Tryouts will be May 14 and May 15 from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm in the Hornet Gym. Girls Basketball Tryouts will be May 18 from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm in the Hornet Gym. You must have a physical on file to participate. If you haven't signed up with Coach Powell, please do that ASAP. You can send him an email or find him in person.
BHS Theatre presents their Spring Musical, “Tuck Everlasting” this weekend, May 07-10! Performances are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 6:30 pm or Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $10 for students or $15 for adults. Details are on the posters hung up around campus. Come out and support the first BHS musical featuring a live orchestra and other incredible designs!
True Brew Coffee Shop is open for student orders. We have coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and lemonade. Please place your order and pay by the end of the day on Wednesday. All orders must be paid in full for your beverage to be delivered to you Friday during 2nd block. Teachers have been asked to post the link in Google Classroom so you can order.

Congratulations to Coach Shane Lake for being named the Lee County School Secondary Teacher of the Year. Coach Lake will now compete for the Alabama State Teacher of the Year.
